Fantastic experience: This isnt just physio. It's an advice centre. If you're sore/stiff and need a rub, it's perfect, and if you want to really know the problem and get guidance on how to fix it, then there is no place better. All the therapists are very personable and helpful. Rather then being asked to come back 10 times (like many physios), you'll get proper rehab advice and then a follow up where needed. Reformer pilates is an activity EVERYONE should try and Sligo Physio Space has top notch machines and tutors.

Within a few weeks of visits, the progress was clear and the pain reduction was significant.

I went to see Claire having had shoulder pain and a herniated disc in my neck that had been painful on and off for three years, but particularly bad for six months, especially as it got in the way of my surfing. It was getting me down so much and even after seeing a chiropractor and another physio in the past and doing their exercises religiously, it was still causing me problems. In the meantime I'd read everything I could on herniated neck discs on the internet and was going round in circles. On seeing Claire it was immediately obvious that she knew what she was doing and was even up to date on the latest research papers that I had come across on my obsessive searches on the internet! The advice that she gave me has meant that 5 weeks later, I am back to surfing every day, pain-free! I've been struggling with this for so long and it means so much to me to be able to get back to the sport i love without feeling held back by my injury. It really is a godsend to come across someone who is as competent and proficient as Claire, I am super super grateful, many thanks!

I started reformer pilates following spinal surgery to build my strength and core muscles to protect my back. After my initial 6 weeks I couldn't believe how strong I had become and flexibility I had achieved.

Claire's accurate diagnosis and rehabilitation plan had me back race ready and I ran pain free on race day a great deal stronger than I was previously. The reformer pilates service offered by Sligo Physio Space is excellent. The class sizes are small and exercises are personally tailored to each individual's needs. I am now continuing to attend her classes for general strength and conditioning throughout my pregnancy. I would confidently recommend Claire to anybody requiring physio services.

Fantastic experience: Been to Claire for both physio and Pilates while pregnant - great experience for both! Practical, honest and really knowledgeable!!!

Negative experience: Went for a consultation at my lowest after a spinal fusion, was basically told I shouldn't be in pain as the surgery "fixed me" and that i just needed to breath properly. I simply wanted help getting back to exercise, and some stretches to help (was told that stretches don't do anything). Had a 30 minute appointment (it says 45 online) and was left feeling even lower and that I had given money to be told its all in my head. I have never given a bad review before as don't feel its fair, but I really just needed a little help and felt this left me feeling worse mentally. I decided to try one more physio after this, and he has been amazing, given stretches and worked on my back which is in a spasm which has started to ease thanks to another physio working on the muscles. I understand this clinic has helped people, but for me it was an awful experience and I think I'd of appreciated a warning that this seems more of a holistic approach.

Claire has vast experience across physiotherapy, pilates and yoga and with her instruction I have seen great benefit in strengthening my body post partum in an encouraging and safe environment. For this reason she is committed to finding the solution which allows you to return to normality (and sanity!) as soon as possible. I'm a runner so being injured is not something we take well!! Fantastic experience: In March 2019, following a skiing accident I had shoulder surgery to repair a fracture and detached rotator cuff injury. My surgeon advised physiotherapy and I was very fortunate to come under the care of Claire McGuinness who has a wealth of experience in managing sports injuries. Following my first visit Claire designed a schedule of exercises specific for my needs and the rehabilitation of my shoulder. This combined with her excellent treatments have speeded up my recover and I am back playing golf and skiing again. I highly recommend the services of Sligo Physio Space and am very grateful to Claire in getting my shoulder fully mobile again.

Fantastic experience: Professional, first class service. Claire is extremely knowledgeable on the anatomy. Not only is Claire a fully trained and qualified physiotherapist, she is also well traveled and certified in various other forms and therapies. Among other things, Claire is a fully certified Yoga and Pilates practitioner which complement her physiotherapy philosophy. Claire treated me for a sports injury in 2020 and after a few sessions had me back in perfect shape.
